School Climate Survey

Social Studies: 13 colonies brochure due on Thursday, October 4th

There will be a very small OPEN NOTES quiz on the 13 colonies on Thursday. This quiz will come straight from your child’s newspaper. Please review the newspaper with them before the quiz. Students also know how to get to the newspaper through the HUB.

Math:
Review on Monday à Unit Test has been moved to Tuesday
A great place to study for this test is old math homework, videos from past blogs, and the math journal.
Unit Test on multiplying and dividing powers of 10, multiplying and dividing of whole numbers, prime and composite numbers, decimal expanded notation, rounding and estimating decimals, comparing and ordering decimals, and rewriting decimals as fractions.

Wednesday we will begin learning how to add and subtract decimals up to the thousandths place value.

We will be starting our Bob the Ice Dude project on Monday and it will be due the following Monday, October 1st

Social Studies: 13 colonies brochure! In groups, students will be creating a brochure inviting others to come live in New England, Middle Colonies, or Southern Colonies.

Social Studies: We are continuing our unit on Early Explorers and also covering essential map skills, which despite technological advances, really come in good use! Our explorer/colonist essay will be due on Monday the 17th. Be as creative in your final project as possible! This is our first display project!
